Wilson Bethel is All Set to Return as Bullseye in the Upcoming Disney+ Series Daredevil: Born Again

According to latest news reports and entertainment articles, Wilson Bethel, who rose to fame after portraying the menacing Banjamin Poindexter, or famously known as Bullseye, in Netflix’s Daredevil, is reportedly ‘all-set’ to return to his role of Bullseye in the upcoming Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again.

Although not much detail has been released to the media regarding Bethel’s involvement in the upcoming series, several media houses claim he has indeed been signed. There has been no official statement from Marvel Studios regarding Bethel’s involvement.

Poindexter as Bullseye

Bethel’s performance as Bullseye in Daredevil was a critically acclaimed performance. Although in the series his character’s aim was to just use Daredevil’s costume to tarnish Matt Murdock’s reputation, Bullseye’s fans across the globe eagerly await Poindexter’s complete character development as the infamous Bullseye in the upcoming Daredevil series.

Although fans want to see a series where Bullseye is given space to develop to his full potential, this might not happen anytime soon since Daredevil season 4, which was all set to be aired in the upcoming months has been cancelled.

The upcoming Disney+ series titled Daredevil: Born Again also faced its own set of challenges, after its release was halted last year in principal photography due to labor strikes. Marvel Studios used this downslide to implement a creative overhaul to the series, which resulted in significant changes being made to the show’s release dates. The series will now release in the year 2025, in addition to shorter episode order.

Daredevil: Born Again

Despite facing so many setbacks, the series is expected to be a massive hit after release since it comes with a star-studded cast. Charlie Cox returns to play the famous Matt Murdock. In addition to this, Vincent D’Onofrio also returns as Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, with Jon Bernthal making a comeback as the Punisher.

Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, who rose to fame after directing famous Marvel Studios series like the Moon Knight and Loki Season 2, will also be a part of the upcoming series as directors.

A Comic Book report also suggested that the character of Bullseye will make a spectacular return in three episodes of Daredevil: Born Again. Bullseye, who is also known as Benjamin Poindexter, was introduced to viewers in the third season of Daredevil. Poindexter was an army veteran and former FBI agent, who showcased immeasurable talent for target neutralization. Bullseye was initially recruited by Kingpin; Poindexter wore Daredevil’s costume to change public perception of Matt Murdock into that of a criminal. This leads to a direct confrontation between him and Murdock.
